Brash Higgins 2010 'CBSV' Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit for the 2010 CBSV was hand selected at the Omensetter Vineyard. The perfect 2010 vintage yielded excellent, full flavoured and balanced fruit, but minute quantities, producing a very limited parcel of 238 cases

'The nose is floral, sweet mint and cassis, with spicy notes of crushed caraway seeds, Earl Grey tea, and Dutch liquorice. A pleasing coffee and roasted hazelnut aroma is present, as well. On the palate the wine is smooth and rich with the sweet earthiness of roasted root vegetables, the acidity of rhubarb and the dark lusciousness of black currants; all notes indicative of a warm, dry year. Still, the tannins are layered and finish dry, pulling the tongue in then releasing it keeping the wine feeling trim and fresh.' – Brad Hickey, Vinitor, April, 2013.
