Scorched by the Sun

Reflecting upon the trip to Oz before me, and it seems like it could just be outrageous. I was in Australia about 2 years ago for 21 days and loved the geography. I just remember the landscapes were so stunning; spacious rolling hills, earth looking scorched, expansive blue sky, monstrous gum trees like massive bones bursting through the ground, damaged by lightening and hard weather, their bark scattered all over the place in great wooden shards. Can’t wait to get back, it seemed so prehistoric, yet familiar. The people I encountered seemed to be a happy lot, ready to party, and ready for a laugh, and, of course, a Coopers, and don’t forget to shake the sediment. Tastes refreshing under what must be the hottest sun I’ve ever felt.
