Rest On Rest Off

After a smooth flight to Adelaide and its posh new airport, I was met there by Alberto and Rachel of the Grateful Palate. It was sunny and warm, indicative of the drought South Australia has been suffering for some months now. We met with two young winemakers of the R Winery which is now developing broad brand developmentat a rapid clip with labels called “Bitch” and “Pure Evil” (see pic below), with bright new label art from Mr. Jeff Keedy who also developed the new Moma logo. Then we grabbed some Coopers and headed back to Alberto and Rachel’s home south of Adelaide up in the wooded hills of Belaire where I’m staying for the next week. Right now I’m fried from the trip, but was very excited to hear I’ll be contributing in a meaningful way in this my first full on vintage. Day_1_1
