Brash Higgins 2022 ‘NYMPH’ Rose

NYMPH22 Front

Our sixth vintage of NYMPH is a cool, coppery blend of Cinsault and Carignan from young vines on the neighbouring Lennon Vineyard. Hand picked during a busy period in the winery, during an even busier, and fruitful 2022 vintage. All the fruit was pressed together whole cluster slowly back at HQ overnight, then fermented wild in a stainless tank for vibrancy. A spry, yet complex style of wine from Brash Higgins; one that’s well suited chilled for poolside drinking.

The painting on the 2022 Nymph label is called “Fresh 2” by Sydney based artist Martine Emdur. Her engrossing, luminous, underwater work can be found all over, but she is based in Bondi Beach, Sydney.

‘Touch misty, opalescent salmon in appearance. The wine is dry yet exudes nectarine, hibiscus-tea, cinnamon apple and watermelon aromatics. Fresh notes of cut ginger, dried cherries and watermelon flow onto the palate with texture; a savoury, snappy sweet/sour peach finish pulls the wine together on the close; finishes with an enticing praline, shortbread snap.’ – Brad Hickey, Vinitor, October 15, 2022.
