Brash Higgins Grenache 3 Pack

Grenache veritcal

On Grenache Day 2023, we have pulled a mini vertical of our most beloved Grenache Co-ferment from the cellar. We picked wines from the first three years we sourced Yangarra’s magical biodynamic Grenache and Mataro off their meticulously farmed Blewitt Springs estate. A 70/30 grenache led blend each year, always picked on the same day from the same blocks and fermented together wild, each wine is a mirror of the vintage and the way these two grapes compliment each other.

All three vintages were unique in the Vale, as to be expected.

We only put 10 of these 3 packs together, so don’t wait too long. $125 for the set. BH

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

GR/M 2013
It’s the perfume that’s the real hook – such vibrant scents! Sweet, no doubt, but tinged with earthiness, green herbs, floral things. It’s elixir-like in headiness, and the texture is similar, slippery, almost luscious, but without heaviness. Drinks superbly, clean lines, bristle of cool acidity and finishes dart-shaped and soft. Absolute guzzler, but smarter. More symphonic. Good gear.

GR/M 2014
Port and spice. Nuts and dates and figs. Ripe flavours, generous in the palate, chewy, flavoursome red of heft but enough wood spice and chomp of tannin to keep things moving. Indeed, this is one of those fireside reds that sucks me in outside of cool season. It’s got personality, richness and depth on its side, done well. Like bigger reds that drink easy? Here. GR/M 2015
The drinkability factor. The charm offensive. The combination of juicy flavour and open refreshment; the way tannin and acid work to give the flavours footholds. This isn’t a deep wine but it’s a gorgeous one.
