Brash Higgins Mix Six
Winery direct purchase only. Six red wines selected by BH to keep all your Winter drinking needs at your finger tips. We have an array of characters to enjoy in this cooler, light-a-fire weather. This pack also includes our friend Guy Palmer-Brown’s Mighty Isle Syrah from our Omensetter Vineyard. Dark and reminiscent of the Northern California. From Guy: “I really like N. California syrah from the legendary Maggie Harrison at Antica Terra, she makes a more refined style from warmer sites.” Wild, dense, spicy, complex and totally delicious. Rare as hens teeth, too-23 cases total produced. RRP $60
Also in tow:
2024 Cabernet Franc- Herbal and pretty, light, silky drinking. Great oceanic wine, from a sand dune perched high on Foggo Road at the beginning of Blewitt Springs. Lots of cooling ocean breezes at night keep this wine impeccably balanced. RRP $35
2022 Smart Grenache- elegant, stuctured, red fruited grenache from one of the Vale’s most distinguished vineyards. Perhaps the finest red we’ve made. “Here sweet spice and some slinky florals sit in that transparent Smart frame; the red fruits and orange peel echoes the true-to-site constant. there’s more dark spice, some liqueur cherry, damson, a little humus like earth, amaro herbs…a singular Smart expression and a very good one.” 96 pts, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion-RRP $65
2023 Nero d’Avola, made in amphora from our Organic Omensetter Vnyd. Same juicy Negroni and campari vibes. Pumpkin spice, dark raspberry fruit, Nori, and all that lavender spice, black olive and amaro sweet and tangy warmth. Kicks butt with braised lamb shanks. From McLaren Vale’s first organic Nero vineyard- planted by BH in 2009 on the estate Omensetter Vnyd. RRP $45
2022 Merlot-amphora reared and perfumed to the hilt, all the smells of a Mexcian bodega, med bodied, aromatic pretty style, red earth, plums; great for Mexican lunches, tacos and braised dishes. Let’s celebrate this delicious grape more often. RRP $35
2021 Cabernet Sauvignon- this is nibs and coming to an end sadly. Luscious style, dark black currant/blueberry fruit, carraway seed, earl grey, nice herbal twist. Like a freshly baked pie on the windowsill. Touch of seaside whiffs. “This is lovely stuff. Blue fruited, herb laced, minerally, gently toasty with woody spices, married all just-so and with a drawl of earthy, ripe and shapely tannins…It’s so honest and good and, importantly, feels unforced and yet regional. I went back for more.” 95 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front-RRP$45
$225 for the six (normally $285) includes FREE freight.
